Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

The CDC is one of our most valuable customers. We have been fulfilling CDC customer needs since 2006 with over $100 million in contract dollars awarded, supporting more than 500 contracts and task orders, and placing 152 employees and subcontractor personnel in international locations. We have first-hand experience supporting research programs and initiatives, collaborating with implementing partners, and working with distinguished scientists and domain experts in the academic and practicing areas. We have experience in establishing international, collaborative ventures which have resulted in partnerships with key global organizations in Africa, the Republic of Georgia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and other Caribbean nations. We have a team of innovative thinkers who focus on and have expertise spanning survey science, data collection, and all facets of quantitative/qualitative analysis methods which enable decision-makers to move forward with confidence. We specialize in hard-to-reach populations. For example, we enrolled research study participants during the Kenyan doctor and nurse strikes and successfully enrolled participants in all three of our CDC Zika Research projects in Puerto Rico during and after Hurricane Maria.

Our experience includes managing and supporting more than 100 research programs both inside and outside the United States. Our research experience covers more than 10 years of conducting formative and summative evaluations of federal programs. We are highly knowledgeable in reviewing research proposals and protocols, Internal Review Board (IRB) applications and amendments, and human subjects training through accredited courses (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative, CITI). We also have experience with emergency, expedited Office of Management and Budget/Paperwork Reduction Act (OMB/PRA) package submissions and the Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) process. We strive to have the best managed contracts in the agency, we never have issues meeting task requirements, and always maintain an excellent performance record.

CDC CPARS Comments:

“Management of the contract across all areas – customer service, responsiveness, cooperative behavior, business relations and customer satisfaction – was very good. The contractor is customer-focused, often calling out of the blue to check in with the COR about contract performance and whether any issues had come up. That level of communication and openness is rare and is much appreciated by the program.” CDC Division of Emergency and Environmental Health Services (DEEHS) CPARS

“[TSI] has provided exceptional quality in support of ZCAN Evaluation project. During the data collection phase of the project, the contractor provided weekly metrics for survey participants. Numbers were closely checked to ensure the data that is send to CDC is accurate. The contractor was also efficient in following up with non-response by either changing vehicle to contact the participants. They worked tirelessly through the two hurricanes to continue communication with the participants so we wouldn’t lose contact with them.” CDC Zika Research Contract

“The contractor is currently on budget for this contract. They have searched continuously for ways to save money in other tasks that would allow more a more efficient and effective team. No money was wasted on this contract.” CDC Zika Research Contract

The contractor does a great job of solving any issues before they even occur. The contractor did a great job in relaying information to CDC and avoid any problems. They even came up with great suggestions to ensure that nothing was lost especially since we were following a strict protocol for this project.” CDC Zika Research Contract
